Family Travel.

In the very early stages of planning a 4/5 week trip around Europe next July/Aug with our 3 daughters who will be 11, 8 and 3.5. We are currently in Guernsey and had originally thought to get the ferry from here to St. Malo and then drive maybe up to Holland or even Denmark, get a ferry to the UK then on home to Ireland.

But we are just back from a week in the UK where we did some travel by train and it got us thinking that maybe training it might be better. We were thinking of maybe 5 stops of 4-5 days each, with some down time in a keycamp type resort and some city time. Has anyone any tips for good places to see with kids, and the best mode of transport?

Thanks in advance. Sorcha
