I'd like to take a trip with my husband and two girls (10 and 14) to Costa del Sol in early April.
It seems as if Marbella may be a good destination to locate ourselves with nice hotels, beach, and a good location to take side trips to sightsee.
I'd be so appricative if anyone can recommend hotels, etc., or other alternatives for us.
Thanks!!

Not sure if you will find early April to be beach weather. The average temp for April is 60 (which may be 70 during the day and 50 at night). Although we were there at the end of April and it was about 80 during the day. Don;t know if that was an unusually warm year - since it was about 95 when we got to Madrid in early May.
I would try to get more specific info from folks here and on tripadvisor.com to see if it's really beach weather.
We've stayed at the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort twice. Can't say enough good things about it. We're not beach fans (go for Spain--the art, architecture, culture, people--one of my favorite countries), but the beach at the Marriott is nice, as are the pools. We have a timeshare and trade with II for it, but I believe you can book directly through Marriott. It's a great location for day trips to Granada, Nerja, Ronda, and several of the white village, but you'll need to rent a car. Lots of information on Fodors and guidebooks and Internet for what to do and see.
