Hi, I will be staying in Falcade, Italy for 5 nights with three adults and 2 children. We are looking for ideas of things to do while we're there. We're looking for a mix of cultural things (not too many things like churches because the children get bored easily) and active things as well, such as hiking for example, or other active, outdoors things. I would also appreciate any restaurant recommendations.
Lastly, I'm looking for suggestions for day trips from Falcade as well since we will have more than a few days there, we will have a car to travel with.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me and my family!

Bolzano definitely deserves a day trip. It is a beautiful city and you can visit Ötzi while you are there - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96tzi.
I really like the Castle of Appiano, near Bolzano, as well.

Cavalese is about half an hour away. Gorgeous little town and you can take the lift up to the top of Cermis http://www.alpecermis.it/ and have a walk around in the mountains. There is also a great restaurant at the top if you wanted to have lunch there.
Last but not least, Lake Garda is a couple of hours away and Verona (my home!) is about two and a half hours, if you don't consider that too far to drive. If you do decide on a visit to Lago di Garda or Verona I would be happy to give you pointers - just let me know!
Hope you guys have a great time ~ you are visiting one of the most beautiful parts of Italy!
