Thanks for posting - I'd missed this story. Good to see a replacement for the old site at Kelvin Hall after all these years, long overdue.
They started buidling the Riverside one long before the Kelvinhall one was closed....I think that happened once they needed to started moving exhibits to their new home. The Tall Ship has been moved so that it now lives right next to the new Museum, which is cool.
