I have rented my rental car fo the week from Dublin will be driving south west for 1 week. Someone was kind enough to suggest Icarhireinsurance.com as extra insurance. I have looked on the website and it does seem to be a good deal. Has anyone used them and is it worth it? I guess for peace of mind it may be any thoughs??

Hi J,

How much is the deductible on the car you are renting?
How many days is the rental?
How does that compare to $60 (or so) for the extra insurance?
Take a look at www.insurance4carhire.com. They are not direct insurers but if you have a claim you must first pay the rental company and then file your claim with them and they reimburse you. Its not perfect but it should be cheaper then the zero deductible they sell at the rental counter.
