Does anyone have any experiences with ItalyPerfect/Excellent Europe in Italy? We have worked with their sister company, ParisPerfect, and are tremendous fans. But it seems that the ItalyPerfect website doesn't offer as much information regarding the neighborhoods and security as the ParisPerfect sites do.
If you have stayed with ItalyPerfect in Florence or Rome, can you please share your experiences?
Many Thanks!!

We rented ItalyPerfect's Casetta Bonsi in Florence in April 2007. Lisa was an absolute joy to deal with, as was Maurizio who offers on-site assistance, and our rental was truly perfect, including the security. The Casetta is on the "other" side of the river, the Oltrarno, and it was great to come back home to the less crowded Oltrarno, which has some wonderful restaurants and wine bars. We've rented homes, villas, and apartments throughout Europe for years, and our experience with ItalyPerfect was outstanding. My sister-in-law and her husband stayed there on their very first trip to Europe and enjoyed the experience as much as we did. I don't think you'll go wrong with ItalyPerfect, which is a Slow Trav favorite with great reviews there.
My cousin and I rented from Italy Perfect in Florence for the last week in October,2008. It was a wonderful experience, from first e-mailed inquiry, through some questions answered by e-mail while we were in Florence, through checkout. The local property managers were extremely helpful and cordial.
The apartment exceeded our expectations and we would definitely work with Italy Perfect again.
The owner, Lisa, is the sister of Madeline, from Paris Perfect, and I think that the excellent customer service from Paris Perfect is carried on by Italy Perfect.
Pisce, I agree with both posts above. I too rented from ItalyPerfect in October 2008 in Florence. My apartment in Florence was my home away from home and was located in the perfect location. Lisa is indeed a gem to work with.
Happy travels,

A friend just alerted me to this post because I had recently told her about what a happy time we had in Rome thanks to Italy Perfect. Our trip in December included a stay in a great apartment in the Spanish Steps area. That was the first time we stayed in an vacation apartment and I was a bit apprehensive. Our agent Pat was very helpful throughout the process. She provided copious information, answered our questions without hesitation. She really knows her properties and Rome! We were happy with our choice of apartments, warm greeting, comfortable furnishings, helpful local contact. Would reserve with them again, no hesitation. Abba.
Thank you, everyone, for your input! I'm encouraged -- I read about these units a few years ago after our first ParisPerfect rental and was tempted; it's good to have some reviews independent of the ones on the ItalyPerfect Site.
Martha and JDC -- which Florence units did you rent? And Abba -- which unit did you rent in Rome?
Thanks so much!
We rented the Strozzi apartment. It exceeded our expectations. The location was excellent and it was very comfortable. We plan on renting it again.
Pisce - I rented the Michaela apartment in Florence. It's a studio apartment and suited me perfectly as I was traveling solo. What I loved about it was the location, onveniently within walking distance to all the major sites and the train station SMN. The biggest plus, was it is located in high-fashion district off of Via Tornabuoni where all the designer stores are located. Sadly for me (in a good way), I did not do any shopping.
Happy travels!

We rented the Flaminio apartment. Not right by the Spanish Steps, but close and nice to be a few minutes away from the crowds there. Enjoy.
