Eurostar booking
I am trying to book the Eurostar from Avignon to London. I can't seem to find the direct routes. Would they be sold out or am I just doing this all wrong. I have tried on the Eurostar site as wail as RailEurope.I would prefer to go directly but if not, which connection is the easiest? Is there any difference to which seat one books? Is there any benefit to booking the ticket on one site or another? Thanks for any help...so confusing.

Currently I believe there are no direct Avignon TGV - London Eurostar trains like there were last year - there may be later in the year but currently you have to take a French TGV to Lille-Europea and then Eurostar to London. Check www.seat61.com for updated Eurostar info.
I may be wrong about all this but this is what I read recently in some reliable source.

Try www.loco2.com. I believe the direct route only runs on Saturdays, but that may change.

Gee I forgot an update post I made some time ago - direct London to Avignon trains start June 28 - building on last year's trial balloon.
