european time share experiences (to exchange not purchase)

Jump to last reply

Just wondering if some of the travelers from this board have ever exchanged into a European time share and what their experience was. Which country did you go to? what time of year? was it difficult to "get in" and did you enjoy your stay?

Early on in our European travels we stayed in a time share near Marbella (my husband HAD to golf) and it was pleasant enough. It was within walking distance to a broad sandy beach where there were lots of beachside restaurants (so Europe!) and we did some daytrips to white towns, Gibraltar, and Granada. True, some of that coast was more about "bangers and mash" than paella but at least glimpses of Spain could be found and I love the beach. Since then we have done different types of travel (training, cruise) but I am thinking about trying another time share so looking for suggestions and first hand experiences. We like southern Europe so maybe Spain again, Portugal or ??
