European Squares - Your Top Favorite Public Squares?

Jump to last reply

Europe is known for its many stately town squares, which are often the focal point of the whole city.

For whatever reason what are your favorite European town squares in which ti linger in?

I'll begin: (Top Ten - in no order)

LEIDESPLAIN, AMSTERDAM (Always great for people and tram-watching if not the best looking of square)

TRAFALGAR SQUARE, LONDON

ST PETERS SQUARE, VATICAN CITY

PLACE DE LA CONCORDE, PARIS

SAN MARCOS, VENICE (The most beautiful of all squares IMO)

PIAZZA NOVANA, ROME

COVENT GARDEN, LONDON

GROTE MARKT, BRUGES

MAIN SQUARE KRAKOW, POLAND (Can't recall anme)

TWIN PIAZZAS MAGGIORE & DEL NETTUNO, BOLOGNA.

ET TU? YOUR FAVORITE SQUARE, FOR WHATEVER REASON?
