3 Zandvoort
6 Lytham St Anne's
9 Scheveningen
10 boiled sugar, mint flavoured, brightly coloured, rolled into a stick with the name of the resort running through it usually in pink. It should be made by hand and requires quite some skill.

Looks like hetismij takes the prize AGAIN - being a Brit and Dutch helped! Two tons of fresh Michigan snow (plus S & H) - a guy in Boston is really shipping out Boston snow from his front office and doing a land office business - wow!

tom has two correct
Bedar two!

I'll donate the prize to Alaska this time.

Spring is springing here and we don't need any snow now to squash the daffodils.

Brighton, Blackpool, Scarborough, Portobello>>

I'll grant you Brighton, Blackpool, and possibly Scarborough. Tom_mn, as popular seaside resorts but Portobello? the only one I know is a London market!

instead we could add Skeggy [Skegness], Eastbourne, Bournemouth, Sandown [on the Isle of Wight] Clacton, Southsea, Sidmouth, and there are probably a few more that I've forgotten.

Rimini could also be described as Venice's seaside resort.

and Southport, Morecambe, Southend-on-Sea (has or had the longest pier or any sticking out into the Thames estatuary; Margate; and on the Cornish Riviera Torquay still hops; Weston-super-Mer; well those are ones that I;ve been to - I collect British seaside resorts - something tacky about them - a lot tacky but that I luv and people watching - ordinary Brits - at its best - warts and all and of course the local Rock!

There is a Portobello in Edinburgh, but it's not really a resort, just a suburb on the river.

I meant the Portobello in Scotland, and "just a river" is hardly a proper description http://inzumi.com/images/destination...lo_Beach_3.JPG
Also that Dracula place, Whitby.

#2 Ostend Beach Belgium

#7 Rimni , as annhig stated, or Lido as tom_mn said.

#5 The illuminations are called Blackpool Illuminations

That hetismij2.... always winning the prize,
and this time to prize is a biggy as it is difficult to get Michigan snow in the Netherlands.

tom_mn, I didn't say it was "just a river". I said that it was "Just a suburb" on the river.

Well I didn't take part in the Scottish quiz Percy.
I shall hold off on answering the next one, and give someone else a chance to win all that snow.
