No it's in Belgium and when I was there the tourist office literature called it Europe's largest square - but it is really number 3, according to Wiki and yes Wiki may be wrong at times.

Nope - this city is off the radar for tourists - the only reason I knew about it was when leading folks on bike trips from Gent to Antwerp we made a pit stop in this surprisingly interesting city.
Hint- Christmas!

Sint Niklaas makes a neat stop if going between Gent and Antwerp by car, train or bike - by bike you go on to use the Tunnel under the river to enter Antwerp from the southwest corner.

But Krakow's square's acreage - does it include that market building or whatever it is in the center of the square - what does size mean - empty space or does it include buildings in the square and the acreage they occupy? If so Krakow may be less than 3.5 ha?
