All correct of course - hetismij gets today's prize!

4- also the confluence of the 'Father Rhine' and 'Mother Mosel" rivers. In the waning days of WW2 a bored, like hetismij, US GI thought he'd have some fun target practice and blew Kaiser Wilhelm off this steed and perch on the monumnet's plinth - today replaced by something I can't recall but to honor German Unity - the GI was sitting on the opposite side of the Mosel, site of today's Camping Municipal - this story told to me by the camp manager years ago when I was camping there many times.

I love the East Side Gallery in Berlin - the longest most intact stretch of old Berlin Wall around - lovingly painted by artists, many with poignant themes!

Threats to demolish the gallery in favor of upscale buildings in this prime Spree-side location, the gallery seems to have survivied that threat and hopefully will forever.
