We have decided to elope and chosen Greece as our destination. I would love ideas of where to get married and what cities to stay in. I would like the trip to be relaxing and romantic therefore I'm thinking of omitting Athens since our trip will likely be limited to a six night stay. Muchos gracias!

Santorini (Oia)one of the most popular destinations, Amorgos not so crowded, scenic but great for your honeymoon, Antiparos also small quaint island, Crete is huge so many choices there.
it depends on what type of wedding you want. like a small white chapel overlooking the sea ect..
hope this helps.
You need to plan carefully for a marriage in Greece, so "eloping in Greece" is a contradiction in terms. You will need to meet several requirements, and it may not be possible within a six night stay.

I'm certainly no expert on this subject, but this is what I found on the U.S. Embassy Athens website: http://athens.usembassy.gov/marriage.html
If you are not American, check with the consular services of your own country.
Santorini is popular for weddings, and has many wedding planners who specialize in foreign-national marriages. Do a Google search, and you will get lots of hits. You will need to contact a planner several months in advance for the arrangements to be made. If you wish to do it yourself, expect a long stay in Greece, and lots of paperwork. Good luck!
