Elba: Biting off More than We can Chew?
Is this do-able, or am I biting off more than I can chew: Making a daytrip from Florence to Elba? We have a rental car, but would a train be quicker? Also, given the limited time, what would you suggest be the "go-to" spot on Elba?
Thanks
p.s. If anyone sees a guy with pointed ears wandering around, tell him to get back to the ship!

I went there last year and it's well worth it. Take the train. It's easier and faster. Elba has surprising no english speaking tourist. It seems to be a hot spot for Germans. If you buy a bus pass, you can visit all five of the differnet types of beaches. It's absolutely Bellisimo! See Napoleon's summer house and I'm not positive on the name of the town, but I think it's called Porto Marciano. Have a great time.
