I am trying to help a friend plan her trip, she is getting into El Prat on a Saturday around 3 pm. Can you tell me her options to get from the airport to where she is staying? She is staying at Passeig de Sant Joan 87. Thanks! I am looking for bus or train options (anything besides a cab). Thank you!

Pretty easy for someone not too tired from an overnight flight, not carrying too much luggage, and possibly also somewhat familiar with the layout of Barcelona:
The €1 Option
1) Get to the airport train station. It is attached to Terminal 2, free shuttle bus ride required to T2 if friend arrives at T1.
2) Get T-10 ticket (10 rides for around €1 each) from machine or desk, stamp it at validation machine at platform entrance
3) Take any train leaving the station to Passeig de Gracia.
4) Leave platform of this underground station in the against the direction the train is going to Passeig de Gracia/ Carrer d'Arago.
5) When on street level, walk Passeig de Gracia (the big wide boulevard) one block "uphill" to Carrer de Valencia (200 meters), and make a left turn into Valencia to the bus stop.
6) Take bus 43 or 44 (stamp ticket again!) for 3 stops to the intersection of Valencia and Passeig Sant Joan. Walk back 50 meters on Valencia. There you are.
The Cost-Concious Tourist Option
Otherwise, a combination of Aerobus and taxi is more comfortable:
1) Take Aerobus from outside each Terminal (costs €5.something)
2) Ride to terminus, Pl. Catalunya.
3) Take taxi to Pg de Sant Joan 87 (costs €6-8)
The Comfort Option
1) Take taxi from airport to accomodation. Expect a fare of around €30 with one piece of luggage.
Thank you so much for the wonderful response!
