I have been looking at hotel rooms for the last week in May in Edinburgh and they seam to be sold out. Does anyone know what is going on in town at that time?

They may not be sold out - they may not be taking bookings this far out. Or their websites may not be updated yet.
If there is one you really want to visit - ring them up and ask.
Hi, it's the Marathon weekend, one of the busiest times of the year. It could be that some hotels have not set rates yet but it's very likely some of them are already fully booked... I know that there are self-catering apartments available (check www.edinburgh-flats.com). Some landlords won't be willing to take a booking so long in advance but most will.
