Easyjet question

We are looking at booking a flight from Sicily to Paris in March. The only option I can find is to fly from Palermo to Rome and then on to Paris. I don't mind doing this but I am worried about the connection time and my luggage getting there. We will arrive in Rome at 8:10 am and depart for Paris at 10:10 am. When I look at the tickets on Easyjet, I can buy them all together. Does this mean that the luggage is checked to the next flight? We have flown Easyjet before and I have looked at all of the smaller carriers and they appear to have one of the better records. Any help is appreciated.
