We traveled to Russia with them in spring of 2006. I didn't really have any complaints, but it seemed like they were dying as a company. There were only FOUR of us on the tour. That was good for us because we got alot of attention from the guides (who were local in St. P and Moscow) but they weren't making much on tips needless to say! If you have specific questions, please ask.
Interesting that you mention that because, as of now, it seems as though we would be the only TWO on the tour to Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn. What were the hotels like that they use? Thanks for your help!
We usually travel on our own and stay in barebones budget hotels. These hotels were much better than we were used to. In Moscow there was a mix-up with the hotel we were supposed to be in and they had to put us in another hotel which turned out to be quite elegant. I guess that wouldn't happen another time. But in St. Petersburg we were in the scheduled hotel and it was also very nice. I imagine if you are used to four or five star hotels then perhaps these wouldn't seem quite as wonderful.
We went to Riga and Tallinn by ourselves, so I don't know what hotels they would use there. You can usually check on www.tripadvisor.com for hotels anywhere if you know the names of the hotels.
