Eastern Europe Trip, Advice Welcome!

Each year we travel during Christmas and New Years and this year we are going to Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague.

Considering the time of year, what are the must not misses or highlights in your opinion?

I know that especially right at Christmas in Budapest most things will be closed on the 25th and 26th but I'm still hoping to find a river cruise or the like that will be open.

Thoughts?
