Easter in Italy

Jump to last reply

I know I'm planning far ahead, but I just booked my "career break" trip to Europe and I'll be landing in Rome several days prior to Easter 2013. I'm looking for suggestions on ways to meet other travelers or locals so I can have an Easter dinner and watch some of the festivities with a group? Also, would you stay in Rome for Easter or go to Florence to see the Scoppio del Carro, something about watching an archbishop set off a cart of fireworks sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
