Quite a long walk. You could just walk across the Strand to bus stop U and take the No 11 bus to Victoria.

I wouldn't walk it myself it is nearly 2 miles. Either take the bus, or walk down the Strand to Charing Cross and take the tube.

But if you do want to walk, it couldn't be easier/more straight forward -- straight down the Strand, then continue through the Admiralty Arch down the Mall, then along the south (left) side of Buckingham Palace grounds You. will see the theatre just off Buckingham Palace Rd to you left.

It's a bit of a hike from the Strand Palace to the tube at Embankment - they're at opposite ends of the Strand. I think you'd find the bus easier.
