Early October 2014 Trip to Mosel Valley and Rhineland

Your comments were noted on a similar trip taken by another forum member in September 2013.

Need advice on train and boat travel between Frankfurt to Koblenz to Trier to Cochem to Braubach to Bacharach to Bingen to Assmannshausen to Mainz. Would like to maximize use of Rhineland-Pfalz Day Pass and see both Mosel and Rhine rivers from the water.

Would appreciate any help in identifying the best and most economical use of both boat and train travel.
