Dusseldorf, 14 hour overnight layover - hotel? B&B?

This sounds pretty common - long layover in Dusseldorf after being in Italy. So after a whirlwind trip in Italy, we (two 50 year old Americans) have a layover in Dusseldorf, arriving at 10:30pm and leaving the next day at 1:20pm. Not a whole lot of time and plus we will be lugging two pieces of luggage around with us. I am sure we will be tired and may just enjoy a nice comfortable hotel or bed and breakfast overnight and lounge the next morning before jumping back to the airport. Any suggestions? This is a budget trip so can't afford 5 star hotel, but also don't want hostel style either. Or a great hotel with a view?
