Dumb mistakes novice trenitalia users make

Jump to last reply

You know how some people try to plan every little thing ahead of time so that when they arrive at their destination things are easy? Well apparently that shouldn't be me. I just bought 2 tickets for Venice to Florence on the wrong day. I don't know how this happened except that maybe when bouncing back and forth from my Ipad to laptop trying to follow advice for making purchases on Trenitalia website I somehow changed the date. I have tried to change the ticket but I keep getting the error message...
Change allowed only if new offer name is economy cambio biglietti.
I get this message every time regardless of the option I choose.
Am I stuck with these tickets? I have read they can be exchanged in person once we are there, but that there is a huge fee. Am I better off just buying new tickets? Grrr. Loathe it when I make silly errors. Please help. I can't be the only person to have ever done this. Can I?
