I would recommend the Kilroonan House...its just off of St Stephens Green in a beautiful section of town ...and an easy walk to Dublin Center. Some of the rooms are small but they are all beautifully outfitted, very comfortable, excellent breakfasts and a wonderful host.

Yes, you can get to most of the 'City Center' Dublin sights from the Jurys Parnell Street location, although it is a bit of a walk. Also, historically, the area 'north of the Liffy' has always been considered 'a bit dodgy', particularly in the after hours. You can do the 'Hop on - Hop Off' bus tour to outlying areas: Pheonix Park, Guiness Brewery and Kilmainham, but that is true from most locations, as well.
We stayed at the Jurys in Ballsbridgen (just below the canal)this summer and I would estimate the distance to Templebar and Trinity as comperable. Wear good shoes and carry an umbrella.

What dates are you coming as the last time I drove by it looked no where near completion. What rate are they offering? Its not as close to the sights as Jurys Christchurch but if you don't mind walking its not really that far wither.

Its cutting it close. I would bet they are not compl;eted with the entire hotel by then. I will try to drive by this week and let you know how far along they seem. The rate is excellent and it will be brand new so why not. Do not walk the side laneway streets at night other than that it's ok.

We got back from Ireland yesterday and just wanted to mention that staying at the Jury's Inn Parnell St for the last 2 nights of our trip was fine. We walked everywhere from there. The hotel is brand new, so it was a great deal for the $79 Euro per night rate. Nothing fancy, but the staff is VERY friendly and professional.
Also, the airport shuttle (AirCoach) bus has their FIRST stop right by the hotel, as well as their last stop before hitting the Dublin airport. So, we were the 1st ones off when we got into Dublin and the last ones on when we needed to go back to the airport.... which was great. It is 7 Euro per person, so if you are traveling with less than 3 it is worth it.

I am glad you liked it. The price was excellent and you are still walkable to the sights.

Thanks for the update.
