My husband and I and our 22 yr old son are going to Dublin late September. We're looking for a 4-5 day apt. - have had good luck in 5 0r 6 other Eur. cities in the last 4 years - but all Dublin apts. seem so far on the outskirts - any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi I recently booked a 2 bedroom apartment in Dublin through the website Bookings.Com for a stay in September. So haven't stayed there yet but they looked pretty good to me and very well priced. They say about 15-20 min walk to the centre of Dublin. They were called "Home Away from Home" Apartments. Hope this helps
Hi Again I think I may have given you the wrong website. I just checked it. Its www.Booking.Com (no s on the booking. The Apartments are called 'Your Home from Home Apartments' Sorry I should have double checked before I wrote the first reply. About the 2nd or 3rd page at the bottom
I would suggest the following http://www.staydublin.com/?gclid=CID1oc-69pQCFQWR1Qod4B00qw These are very central located apartments in Dublin and seem quite popular. I walk by the Millenium way one each day and uts secure and they seem nice and in a good location. I have not heard of Book.com so I am unsure about them.
Thanks for all the input - The Millenium Apts. looked good to me, too, but Tripadvisor had several critical reviews! Appreciate your local knowledge on location a lot!
Me again. Just to let you know that I have used booking.com a number of times and never had an issue and that the Home from Home apartments get quite good reviews
Thanks again - I went to booking.com and the prices are great! Don't know why I'm having such a hard time with the 'scale' of locations in Dublin.Everything is listed as a 10 minute walk! ( Glad we like to walk everywhere.)
The DART is so convenient in Dublin that honestly, you could be 15 minutes outside the city and so long as you were close to a DART station you'd be fine.
I lived in Ballsbridge but often wished I'd gone a litle further out like Blackrock or Dun Laoghaire, such nice towns.
