Drug addict cleansing in France and Spain

This is so embarrassing but can you give me good hospital names in Paris, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona in case my body wigs out while I'm there? Been a heavy pot smoker and decided it's time to stop so I quit cold turkey. It's only been 3 days and I feel clearer but my body is feeling all the withdrawal symptoms and I'm leaving in a week and staying a month. Thansk

Hôpital Lariboisière right next to Gare du Nord in Paris is the hospital with the most experience of drug problems. The police and fire units generally automatically take all of the people that they pick up off the street there.

This is a silly and dangerous thing to do. Why don't you speak to your physician before you leave home and get some strategies or medication to help you? Don't know what you expect a foreign hospital can do for you, especially with language barriers.

I asked my doc about the headaches and heat radiating from my body and it's all normal. Best medication is to quit. Don;t want to take any more crap if I can help it just need to get past the physical symptoms. Hoping not to step foot in a hospital but just in case, you know?

Wrong, Blueeyed. A complete change of scene and false friends helps anyone with this problem.

even my lungs feel heavy and I have the shakes but he said that's the toxins and it's normal. I guess it'll be darker before it gets lighter just want to be prepared for the worst. The drastic change is what I need.

There are worse places to have the shakes than Paris. Hang in there, buddy. We are pulling for you to have a wonderful and clean trip!

That's really nice of you to say. Thank you. Someone know of hospitals or clinics in Spain? I guess I can just Google that but thought someone might know here.

I imagine just knowing where to go in case of issues will alleviate some of your anxiety. Good luck!

And that I do wholeheartedly.

Good luck & good health.

Thank you. I want to hear mass while I'm there. Do you know which ones have the options for English? My grandmother wants me to light a candle and I want to sneak a picture for her. Does the Notre Dame church do it in English? Sorry for all the questions I've never been except Seville.

Well science says pot is not physically addicting so you will have no physical problems - just mental ones - I am a certified medical pot user and have been toking for too long to remember - yet I go cold turkey every year to spend a month in Europe with absolutely no physical addition effects - simply because no study has ever said there is any - legitimate study that is - there are no meds to combat cannabis addiction because cannabis is not physically addictive.

I suggest you stock up on Valium to ease the mental tensions that probably predated pot use.

Sorry science refutes any cannabis physical addiction.

Good luck! But if you go into a hospital anywhere and seek relief for pot addiction not sure how they would react.

Coffee, tobacco, alcohol, etc can produce physical dependence but IME and of many others not pot.

Marijuana addiction is linked to a mild withdrawal syndrome. Frequent marijuana users often report irritability, mood and sleep difficulties, decreased appetite, cravings, restlessness, and/or various forms of physical discomfort that peak within the first week after quitting and last up to 2 weeks.>

The National Office on Drug Abuse, not known to have a completely objective stance on pot, says that 9% of people may physically become addictied byt that any withdrawal symptoms are mild - so no hospital intervention will be remotely likely if that is so.

so maybe you're in the alleged 9% - if so you will have at worst mild withdrawal symptons, much less than quitting smoking, drinking, getting off java or chocolate for that matter.

Might depend on how much pot you use on a daily basis. I'd like to say it's all in the mind but I can see my hands literally shaking and I don't smoke anything else.

The headaches were not too bad the first 2 days but was bad yesterday. What I did experience day 1 and 2 were stomach cramps that are gone now. Headache when I woke up today was not bad just a little heaviness. The shakes seem worse today and I'm on day 4.
