Driving/Parking in Paris: Park and Ride?

I'm planning on driving from Brugge to Paris and don't want to battle the Paris streets. Is there a park and ride on the A1 where I can take the metro/subway into the city center? Charles De Gaul Airport? Does any one know approx. what it would cost to Park at CDG and take the subway in? Does anyone have a better option? Thanks!

CDG parking 22.50 per day. How long are you planning on leaving the car there? There is uncovered parking that is 12 euros / day but there is a limited number of spaces and they seem to allued to the fact that it does fill up on the CDG website.

Is taking the train from Brugge to Paris not an option?

Thanks for the reply. We'll likely only spend the day (a long day) in Paris. Train is an option, but it seems expensive this late (we're going to Paris on Saturday)- around $100 Euro round trip. Plus train times don't appear great. Do you know what the metro/subway cost is from CDG to Paris? Thanks.

Your welcome, I think its about 14 euros round trip. I cant remember exactly.

Thats one LONG day! What about driving to Lille then taking the train? Lille is only 75km from Brugge. There are plenty of half price tickets available for this saturday. It would be 34 euros per person round trip in second class and you would be in paris in 1 hour.

If you can read french on http://www.voyages-sncf.com near the bottom on the left is the offer for half price tickets. Otherwise you can get them where Ira said as well. You can print out the half price tickets. Keep in mind, they are non refundable, non changeable so allow plenty of time to catch your train.

Lille has two train stations. Lille Europe and Lille Flanders. They are right next to each other so you can walk from one to the other. Just be sure to pay attention to your ticket and go to the right one. I have not been to Lille but really all train stations in major cities have parking. Just follow the signs to "Gare" then look for a big blue "P" sign or a Parking sign.

Ira, can you pick up tickets booked on the French SNCF site in Belgium? The Lille - Paris portion wouldnt be a prob since you can print them out. Wouldnt you have to book on the Belgian rail website to be able to pick up the tickets in Brugge? Just curious, have never tried.

I checked and both Lille Flandres and Lille Europe have parking so you are set. Lille Europe parking is open from 5 am to 1 am for entry but you can exit at any time. It is 17 euros per day:

Lille Flandres is open 24 hours according to the website and is 17.20 euros per day. ( http://www.sceta-parc.com/?p_idref=729 )
