Driving Route, Mid-Stop, Amsterdam to Munich

Jump to last reply

Hi All. Will be driving from Amsterdam to Munich in mid-September. Need to cover the roughly 550 miles over two days. Reason for driving was just to mix it up (as opposed to trains, planes) and take in the sights.

So two questions. Any suggestions on routes that you'd consider "must do's" that are more or less direct? And, is there a good "halfway" overnight stopping point I should think about?

I know there was some construction on the A2 route last year that took you south to Luxembourg then over to Munich. Also, not afraid to take in some of the sights at 130mph via an autobahn going the German route. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
