Driving Prague-Cesky Krumlov-Rothenburg ODT-Munich
We will be visiting Munich and Prague in December (over Christmas). Does it make sense to rent a car from Munich to Prague, do Cesky Krumlov and then drive the Romantic Road to Rothenburg odt?
Or is the train/buses better? Train and bus schedules for winter are not out yet so I am not sure how convenient it is. Also I have no idea whether it is safe/easy to drive in winter? Any advice?
Is there a reasonably priced car rental agency that allows pick-up in Prague and drop off in Munich? Please advise.

penguingal, here are my short answers.

Yes. How many people are we talking about?

Train is better, imo.
I don't know what you mean about train schedules not being out. Are you talking about next year? (2009)
Roads are usually in good condition. How are you driving in snow?

No. Many car agencies will not let you drive their cars into the Czech Republic from Germany. Drop off fees from one coutry to another are usually very expensive.

www.bahn.de/international/view/en/index.shtml has schedules for Jan. 09 and beyond.
Rental car Prague-Munich - no.
Prague Cesky K. - look for a tourist excursion bus from P., back the same night.
Munich-Rothenburg ditto.
The rest by train.
