Driving in France

This July I will be driving through france for 1 month is there anything that i should look out for while driving speed limits, tolls, etc, also if you can help I will be travelling from Calais in the north to Nice in the south, I would like to stop over for a few days near Lyon has anyone stayed in either a nice hotel or a camsite in this area, i thank you in advance for helping me.

If going for a month, you might want to get different regional guides to get an idea of what there is to see along the way.

Yes, ou should watch the speed limits and follow them. There are enough signs, they are just in km, that's all. You'll find out if you need to pay a toll when you encounter the toll booth, but I think that is only for the large A super-highways.

As someone said, get the regional maps and guides.
When driving in France you take the "direction______", not the "I85"--that is to say, you need to know the next town on your journey because that is how the arrow will point--not with a road number.
