Driving from Florence to Rome any restrictions? And how?

Jump to last reply

Hello travelers! I am going to spend a few days in Florence at the beginning of March and will be renting a car to take one day trips. On my final day, March 9th which is a Saturday, Im planning on driving to Rome. I am not planning on stopping on any city. What is the fastest route to take? And also should I worry about the ZTL restrictions Ive been reading about? Also how bad is the traffic? I am planning that as soon as I get to Rome I go return the car, I guess at the airport if its on the way to the city.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!
