Driving from Avignon TGV Gare to Uzes

Is this a particularly difficult drive, especially getting out of Avignon, etc.? Thanks for any advice or insight you can offer.

It's been a long time since I was there, but I think the TGV station (with the rental car facilities) is outside of town, and a quick shot to the highway.

Getting out of the car rental park is very easy in Avignon. It's not a particularly big city so you won't have any problems finding your way. The French roads are very well marked.

Have fun.

Very, very easy. From the TGV station, just head for either Les Angles (on the opposite side of the river) and then it is a straight shot all the way to Uzès.

Now that I think about it, perhaps the fact that I've done that drive many times means my assessment is clouded by familiarity. But still, it's not hard, you'll be fine.

The fact that the TGV station is outside of the city makes this quite simple. We've done a short drive, much like to Uzes, jet-lagged with no problem.

Good to hear; thanks for your prompt responses and votes of confidence. We've all been in Avignon in the past but none of the 3 of us women has ever driven there before. We'll have been in Paris for a few days so will not be jet-lagged.
I'll be posting another question soon about sights to see west of Avignon and hope to hear from you again.

We will be doing the same thing in June so this is very helpful information. We will be picking up our car at the Avignon TGV then driving to the Pont du Gard, then Uzes for a couple of nights and then on to Apt. Looking forward to your eventual trip report. One thing we have found very helpful is to use Google Map's street view and then "drive" from one place to another. You can even "fly" over the road in 3d and see what the towns and countryside looks like. Amazing.
