Driving distance from Roussillon and Moustiers Sainte Marie to Monaco
Hello all! Does anyone have the experience of doing the drive from either of the cities listed in the title? Just got the word yesterday of an exhibition in Monaco that we'd love to make, except we'll be in the title cities during the last 4 days of the exhibit... I was thinking/hoping that we could 'race' from Roussillon to Monaco, take in the Princess Grace Exhibition, then mosey back to Moustiers?! What do you think, and more importantly, what do you calculate as the drive times on a Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday/end of September?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Two years ago I drove from Nice to Roussillon via Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. It's a beautiful drive, but sections of the road are full of sharp curves. Trying to "push it" would tend to make anyone unhappy who is prone to getting carsick.
If you go to www.viamichelin.com, you'll see that the estimated driving time is almost twice as long going via Moustiers as it would be taking the motorway. If I were going to try to do this all in one day, I'd take the motorway in one direction for sure.

Thanks TimS...since I posted my query, I found Mappy...fabulous. I read your response, and thanks for the heads up on the curves. I'm not going to push it because it seems like such a nice area. We'll just slow down and enjoy!

Thanks TimS--this is exactly the route that we will probably take! Thanks Underhill, we won't take it at night, and I'll see if I'm being naive/foolish to want to travel off the beaten path!
happy trails!
