Advice on either driving or taking the train to bayeux we will have 4 days there then proceed to the loire valley another 4 days then back to paris for 5 days. I know if i purchase the train tickets in advance they will be cheaper but have concerns about the timing...getting out of the airport , to the train station and getting to the right area and not missing the train altogether,,

I would opt for the train and pick up a car in Bayeux when you needed it. You will have to take a taxi to Gare Saint Lazare to catch the train to Bayeux, or you can contact Victor (victorcabsparis@aol.com). We've used him for clients and will do so again.
There are loads of trains to Bayeux every day, except when they are working on the lines, which they are doing this spring on weekends. You don't need to buy tickets ahead of time, though you can. Just go to the Gare St-Lazare, buy a ticket, and get on a train.
