Dress stores in Prague
Hello,
Does anyone know of good dress/clothing stores in Prague, in the central area?
I have only a limited amount of time there, and need a dress for a wedding (as a bridesmaid). I would love to find something different there - but not too expensive.
Any ideas that you have would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Susan

Darling, why would you need mkingdom when you have me? Afterall, I have been to Prague AND I am a former fashion guru.
The most up-market women's clothing stores can be found on Pariska Street, off of Old Town Square (adjacent to the Jewish Ghetto. You will also find stores on Na Prikope, which is in between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Marina Rinaldi is right off of Old Town Square--it is on the street that exits Old Town Square opposite the Astronomical Clock (this street also leads to Na Prikope).

I don't know about finding something different, but it depends what the comparison is. A lot of the shops are the usual European designers you can find in most cities, including US. The designer stuff isn't cheap.
Pariska street does have a lot of upscale shops, if you want to go there. If I were limited for time, I might just go to Kotva dept. store across the street from Namesti Republicky metro stop as it has a variety of designer boutique sections in it, and reasonable prices.
There are various "malls" on Na Prikope, but a good one is Myslbek Centre at number 19/21. It has some name shops and is a nice mall, but this is the usual names -- Kookai, Marks & Spencer, Calvin Klein, etc. It has a website maybe you can get an idea to see

Kotva does to, but I think it's only in Czech so maybe not too easy

I really don't mean to be mean...but...Prague and most of central Europe have the most ugly clothing for women on the planet! Bridesmaids dresses are supposed to be ugly, but you can sve yourself a lot of money, time and agony making sure you leave for the trip with a dress from home.
