Drancy and Beaune la Rolande

I just finished reading Sarah's Key, and would be very interested to know if anyone, either tourist or resident in France, has visited or knows anything about Drancy and Beaune la Rolande. For those who don't know (and I did not until I read this book), they are two internment camps in which thousands of French children and their parents (Jewish) were deported to after being arrested in a massive roundup on July 16, 1942 (by the French police, acting in obedience to Nazi orders).

When or if I do get to France, I'd like to know if they are worth visiting. "Worth" being defined as is there anything historically significant still in existence there, or is it just a plaque that the site was there.
