My wife and I will be visiting the Dordogne at the beginning of November.
We've been reading about all the fantastic restaurants, like La Metairie. But it looks like they close at the end of October.
Any recommendations for places that are still open in November?
Thanks so much!

Try the Octroi in Sarlat - open all winter, and the best restaurant in town.
Bistro de L’Octroi , new in November 2005, from the couple who own La Meynardie and one of the best in Sarlat. 05 53 30 83 40. At the top of the Rue de la Republique, the main road, you’ll see the hotel Madeleine – the restaurant is about 100 metres up the road. Inventive cooking, more interesting than virtually anything else in town, nicely decorated, good service –not expensive, and open for lunch and dinner every day. (The Octroi was formerly a toll paid on entering town, and the restaurant is on the site of the northern gate for collecting this tax.)
The Imaginaire is also usually open all winter.·
Restaurant l’Imaginaire. 05 53 51 37 27 Terrasson, north of Sarlat – next to Jardin de l’Imaginaire. Again, great food, great service. Interesting vaulted dining room.
Thanks for the suggestions, Carlux.
