Dordogne or Corbieres

We visited and loved the St. Emilion area. Would love to see more areas such as this. Enjoy walking around, eating, wine, etc. Don't know if the Dordogne or Corbieres areas are what we are looking for? How to get there, how to get around, etc? Any help would be much appreciated. (planning Fall 2002 trip)

May issue of Travel + Leisure has an article on Corbieres. Its not discovered yet, but the issue hints it may be the next Provence. It seems accomodations are very afforadable. Not many American tourists, more popular with English and Dutch. The pictures look very beautiful.

I am booked for Provence in a week, but I would love to visit Dordogne or Corbieres.
