Dordogne "Ferme Auberge" eating??
Three years ago during a trip to the region, we had a wonderful lunch experience at Les Landes near Martel at the Ferme Auberge Moulin a Huile de Noix. We had a very inexpensive set lunch (choice of duck or lamb) with walnut "wine" and salad and vegetables and, I think dessert, for about 10 Euro per person. After lunch we repaired to the barn to watch the pressing of the walnut oil. I am looking for places with a similar feeling for my upcoming visit: inexpensive places with un-fussy regional food, perhaps on a farm; preferably they would be within an easy drive of Domme. I came across one..the Ferme Auberge Maraval in Cenac. Is anyone familar with this place or with others of its genre?

But this place looks like a B&B. Do they have a place to eat for people not lodging there? Perhaps I am being misleading when I ask for a ferme auberge..not sure of the correct tern for the kind of eating place/restaurant I am looking for...

ekscrunchy,
As we are going to the Dordogne next summer, I am interested in your post. I clicked on the link for Auberge Veyret and then went to "Guest House" where there was a lot of dining info including sample menus and photos of the dining rooms. It seemed that you could just reserve for a meal, but not positive (I would probably contact them by email to see for sure).
Good luck and have fun (and I look forward to your trip report with dining suggestions )!

Fun: I will check it out. For your trip, you MUST put on your list the place in mention in my original post, the Ferme Moulin a Huile de Noix. Not too far from Martel. The phone number is 05-65-37-30-69. The address appears to be Route de Bretenoux 46600 Martel. They sell the walnut oil there, too. No English spoken.
