Don't miss Tomar and the Synagogue but skip this hotel

Jump to last reply

We usually pick hotels for their central location so we can walk around historical centers, but made a mistake with Residencial Cavaleiros De Cristo, shabby, scant breakfast and keys that fit other rooms. The staff was wonderful though.

Tomar is not to be missed and be sure to include the medieval synagogue/museum, the oldest in Portugal, run by a wonderful volunteer woman and supported by donations only. It opens at 2 PM on Rua Dr. Joaquim Jacinto
