Don't forget to buy Phytodefrisant Relaxing Balm in Italy
If you use a flat-iron you probably already know about/use this great straightening balm -- Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm (Allure & InStyle Best Product Winner).
It's routinely $26 and up at upscale department stores like Neiman Marcus so imagine my joy when I was in a Farmacia in Milan and found it for 9 Euro. The relaxing serum was 19 E which is similar to U.S. prices, 24 USD. I'd never used the balm before because it was prohibitively expensive so I only bought 1 tube to see if I liked it. It's a great product and I really regret that I forgot to return to a Farmacia to stock up.

I got several Santa Maria Novella products in Florence. They didn't appear to be much cheaper than here, but they definitely had a lot more products to offer than I've ever seen here in the US, in store or online. The products are great though, and worth the money if you have it.

The tip about La Roche Anthelios 60 sunscreen is a very good one -- this is the one that blocks both types of damaging rays and is not accessible in the u.s. at all. I was going to order it on-line last year -- think it was around $30-40. I think it was half that in Italian farmacias.
Clarins is cheaper in airports but only by about 20%, is that right?

I bought that same sunscreen myself in Rome when I forgot mine at home. Great Stuff!! Not greasy and you can wear foundation over it on your face without streaking. I seem to remember I paid the equivalent of about 12 bucks for it.
Body Shop stores in Europe have products that the US stores don't have too. Like my favorite Cucumber Facial Cleansing Milk (at least as of a couple of yrs ago).

Kerastase hair products are very affordable in France. They sell them at every corner hair salon, where it is quite exlusive here in the US. I paid 12 euro for a bottle of something I paid $25 for in the US. Stock up! Its great stuff!
