Domestic flights in Turkey

Hi - I have found lots of great information on this site about domestic flights within Turkey. specifically really cheap prices with Turkish, Pegasus, Atlas, etc. to destinations like Izmir, Antalya and the airports for Cappadocia. What I'm not sure about though is how far in advance these have to be booked to get these prices. Obviously it will depend on how many seats are available, but I'm flexible and in general would it be reasonable to think that I could sort of wing-it while I'm in Istanbul (in October) and book flights while I am there say 4 or 5 days in advance and still get a cheap price (for example, I see fares one way Istanbul to Izmir for 39 or 59 TLY plus taxes)... or would I really have to book these flights well in advance? Also, it seems on the online booking for these airlines they have a mandatory field for telephone number, anyone have experience booking with a foreign telephone number?

If anyone has experience booking on these sites I appreciate your insight!
