I read on a post that domestic flights are less expensive if booked in Turkey. If this is true is the savings worth the time to find a travel agent to book flights? We are planning to fly from Istanbul to Izmir and from Izmir to either Nevsehir or Kayseri, (Cappadocia) then back to Istanbul. I have looked at a couple of the discount airline prices and they seem to be close to the same price. If anyone has any information we would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.

I booked my flights before going to Turkey. We used Onur Air and Pegasus Air for flights to Izmir and then from Cappadocia to Istanbul. My impression is that these airlines do the same thing as any other airline; the closer to departure, the higher the price.
As long as you use the airlines' own web sites the prices are the same where you are.
Strangely, brokers like Expedia, Kayak, Venere, etc. will give very high quotations sometimes.
Otherwise, follow Michael's advice above. The earlier you book, the cheaper it will be.
You also need to check Sun Express between Izmir and Kayseri.
Istanbul to Izmir, both Onur and Atlas will give free shuttle service to Selcuk.
