Does the Paris Museum Pass cover the Picasso Museum?

A museum pass brochure my girlfriend brought back earlier this year has the Picasso Museum highlighted in pink and says "from April 1, 2015" which indicates to me that the Picasso Museum is covered by the pass from April 1, 2015. Anyone get in the Picasso Museum since April 1 with a museum pass or do I still need to purchase a timed ticket? Thanks. I'm a little frantic because there aren't that many dates Available during the time period we will be there and it is the one museum my friend wants to visit.

I didn't tag this France so I suppose no one will see it. The 2015 Rick Steve's Paris book says it is covered.

Did you check the web-site for the pass? (Remember: google is your friend!)

Yes but I was looking for first hand experience. Someone stated when it first reopened that it was listed on the Museum pass but wasn't really. Needed timed entry ticket because of crowds.

Their own website says they "willingly" accept it, so I can't imagine they don't. Just print that off and take it with you in case they challenge you.

That doesn't mean you get priority access, though, if that's what you are looking for, as you would with the timed entry. Their website clearly states you do NOT get priority access with the pass.

The Museum Pass was not accepted in the beginning, but it has been for the last few months - so if you have one, it's fine to go ahead and use it.

There are two lines in the little courtyard on rue de Thorigny, both clearly marked - one for timed entry, the other for everyone else. There are also a certain number of regular entrance tickets available for purchase every day, for anyone who just walks up.

This museum has become a very popular venue for private parties and exhibits that have nothing to do with Picasso - these are most often held in the rear courtyard on rue Vieille du Temple, in the afternoon or evening, much to the distress of the people living nearby who have filed a formal complaint about the noise and lights.

Thank you very much for your responses. Your practical information is very much appreciated manouche. Any suggestions as to the best time of day to visit for the least amount of people entering?

Unless you're coming during the traditionally busy tourist season - June, July, August, September and Christmas/NewYear's - you won't have to deal with too many people at any time of day. There's a lot of room to move around in this museum, and there aren't the problems associated with crowds stampeding to take selfies with the Mona Lisa, for example.

There was a lot of excitement in the beginning but that seems to have calmed down. There have been many reviews saying that the museum is not worth going to, but most people don't agree with that.

Normally, the heaviest crowds arrive before noon, since that's when the tour buses unload. When we walk by in the late afternoon, there's usually never a line. Pay attention to the closing time since visitors are herded out about half an hour before that. Also keep an eye on the official Picasso Museum website for any closures or changes so you won't make the trip for nothing.
