Trip Report Do You Know The Way

Not to San Jose, California but to San Marino the claimed oldest republic (country) in the world. After spending a rainy and windy night in Rimini, Italy, we leave the Italian coastline and head off for the popular day trip to the mountains of San Marino.

Fortunately, most of the rain is gone but as we climb the walled city of San Marino a cold wind is still biting the afternoon air. Our primary mission here is to spend 10 Euros and get our passports officially stamped.

Leaving the “Tourism Office” we enjoy a walk around this beautiful hillside city from one castle to another. Soon it is time for slices of freshly made pizza, a bottle of local wine and local chocolates before we are on the road again.
