Do you ever wonder what the people on this board look like...?

Hi!
I feel as those I have gotten to know many people on this board. I often wonder what they look like. Sometimes their names will give clues, more often, not.
Give a description of how you think a particular poster may look.

I'll go first,
I think Wendy, the author, woman who lives in France must be blonde, average height and weight. She dresses fashionably yet without pretention. No big hair on this girl, short and wears smallish earrings. I would guess black is a favorite color in her wardrobe.

Dan Woodlief: Sandy brown hair, 5'10" (Wishes he would have been tall enough to play basketball for Duke), thin. Usually seen with a camera slung around his neck. Drives a SUV.

How am I doing? Any one else wanna take a guess? Be nice and let's have fun!

Ok, I'll play. Elvira! I always imagine her to have huge RED hair! (I know it is because her wild personality.) I would guess she is pencil thin, tanned, wears sunglasses. I picture her driving in that desert in a an older convertible.
In Europe, she would be wearing black, and have really cool shoes. I don't picture her with scarves or a lot of jewelry, good shoes, bag and simple clothes.

This is like speaking to someone regularly on the telephone but never meeting them. When you eventually do meet them they look nothing like the mental picture you have built up of them.

This sounds like fun. I'll take a crack at Neal Sanders. I'm thinking 50, 5'10", full head of hair, mostly grey with black mixed in, takes care of himself, looks good in a suit. Drives a Saab.

For St.Cirq, I'm thinking 5'8", pencil thin, dark, straight shoulder-length hair, impeccable clothing.

Ben Haines. That's tough. 6'2", kind face. Grey hair, and of course, a stiff upper lip.

Hmmm, Paige, always one of my favs...tall, blonde hair cut in a short sleek style, blue eyes, thin and sporting a back pack everywhere. Walks with condfidence!
Ursula, voluptous, sexy, hitting her prime. Blonde to brown hair cut short, but with a hint of curl. Green eyes. Likes to walk, talk on the phone and meet for long lunches. Big eyes, good makeup.
I would like to see what these people look like: St.Cirq, Rex, S.Fowler, Capo, Elvira, Dan Woodlief. Any websites with their pictures?

Gigi hello! Wow, it's good to have a laugh today!
Not bad at all. My compliments.

Sexy -- maybe. I would not say that about myself. Rather sort of classy IMO.
Voluptous -- hm, no, sporty I think
Dark brown hair, medium length (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer), NO curls at all.
Dark brown eyes -- I'd love they were green, however.
Yes, I love to walk (especially in Paris and along the lakeside in Zurich).
I love to chat on the phone, yes
Long lunches -- that would be SO nice (usually 30 minutes! during the week). On weekends, yes. But I prefer long dinners.....
Make-up yes, little less now, as I am quite tanned. LOL

Thanks, great. Sorry, I do not have time right now to think about others. I shall be back next week. Have all a great weekend.

OK, Sophia, here goes:

Rex: tall, thin, black hair going gray; sort of "nerdy" looking.

Capo: s.fowler seems to lust after him. I imagine him to be dark and sexy; medium-height.

St.Cirq: reddish, shoulder-length hair; very big-boned, tall.

s.fowler: middle-aged, short dark hair,thin.

Elvira: all I can picture for her is the "Elvira" of the vampy TV fame.

Dan Woodlief: Sophia, funny, but most of what you describe for Dan is EXACTLY how I picture him!!

I honestly haven't meant to be insulting to any of the people I've tried to describe above. It's funny how you get a mental image of someone in your mind after reading their postings after a period of time.

Did I even come close to how any of you look??

I picture St. Cirq as small, straight darker brown hair with reddish highlights. I would guess early to mid forties. Drives a Volvo. Closer, St. Cirq?

xxxx, you're quite right: I always pictured Elvira with short, dark hair until she said something on the beauty products in paris thread about liking henna-colored mascara with her blond hair...

It's funny how little details can stick in your mind and inform the picture that pops up when you see a poster's name. Cindy, the stay-at-home mom and work-from-home attorney, always pops into my head wearing a neat little skirt suit, apropos of an attorney at court or in a big firm, but probably not what she's wearing...

Gigi, how funny! I guess I have to respond. I'm 5'7", thin enough, longish dark brown hair and yep, my backpack goes everywhere with me and I have blue eyes!
I have an aunt named Gigi so when I see your name, all I can picture is her.
Elvira: I'd say she's 5'5", medium weight, short but not too short blond hair pulled back with a headband, brown eyes and glasses. I bet she's not near as crazy looking as her posts might lead us to believe.
Thyra: a little bitty gal with a happy face.
Capo: he must be good lookin' to have Shrimp carrying on about him so much.
Paulo in Brazil: for some reason I think he must look like Alessio Vinci on international CNN.

No, Elvira has relatively short hair, but swept back and up in a really breezy style. She's not skinny but no-nonsense fit. She wears bright colors except when in traveller's black. She uses reading glasses, has a great twinkle in her eye when she looks at you over the top of them. She is of a "certain age" but youthful, vigorous and sexy in her way.

Roger: short to medium height, overweight, sweaty, a bad comb-over, needs some sun.

Capo: in his early 40s, tall and a little better looking than he should be but fastidious about dress though possibly not deodorant which is such an American affectation.

Woodlief -- we all agree, but I'd add that he is thirty-something.

Oaktown Traveller: late 20s or early 30s, anorectic, all finger nails and toenails painted brightly, artfully tousled or spiked hair, lots of makeup, frequently visible navel.
Cindy: "drives a Volvo" - I'm practically falling off my chair! Nope, not even close on any of your suppositions, sorry, but I'm really enjoying the guesses!

Woops! Cindy, realized it wasn't you who suggested the Volvo, but still, you're way off track, too!
