Do Travelocity fares include taxes, surcharges, etc.?
Hi,

Found what appears to be a good fare ($603) to Prague and Vienna on Travelocity. What isn't obvious to me is: is this the full price, taxes, other charges and all?

Also, the flight is on Austrian Airlines, though I'll want to take the United Mileage Plus (Star Alliance) credit for it. Is there a way to do that through Travelocity or is it easy to do at check-in?

Thanks for your help. Obviously, I've never used Travelocity...

Aren't there columns that read as follows?

Base price per person Taxes & Fees Total Price

If so then that is the full price of the ticket. I've booked through both Expedia and Travelocity before and never had a discrepancy (if they didn't disclose the total price of the ticket with all taxes before you purchased the ticket they would have major disagreements with credit card issuers).

They first quote a price without taxes, although you can click on something that gives vague ranges, IIRC. Then if you click on the button to start buying the ticket, they give you the real price. I kept going back and forth between those two modes after finding the price rising $90 and mistakenly thinking the last bargain seat had gone!

Okay. It actually WAS the full price. The hangup was that you had to click on "Buy Now" to get it to tell you any details. I was reluctant to click on "Buy" -- though I'm not sure why now. As an end note, I'm glad I clicked on "Buy" because that was the only way to see that the ticket was of a classification that did not earn FF miles. Now I don't want it...
