Do Paris apt. owners rent for less than a week?
I'm still on my quest to help two friends on their first trip to Paris. They will be staying four nights in late October--this is the last city of their trip. They would like to stay somewhere near the Eiffel Tower or the D'Orsay Museum, or inbetween the two.
We talked about one room for the two of them, or possibly two singles so they could each have some privacy. With rooms so small in Paris, that's what I did last year -- a friend and I had separate rooms at the Monge and it worked great and was still affordable.
A two-bedroom apartment might be ideal for the ladies. One woman has some mobility issues, so an elevator is needed. Will people in Paris rent apartments for only four nights or must it be for a week with three nights forfeited? Their budget is around 150-170 euros a night for the two of them.
Thanks much.
Diane

Try vacationinparis.com They actually are based in New Jersey, will send you a key prior to your departing the states. You also pay in American dollars, not euros. You can rent for less than a week, although you may pay slightly higher rate and/or charge for cleaning. They could even share a one bedroom apartment, as long as the couch pulled out into a bed (we took our teenage daughter and she used the couch). Oh, one more thing - european elevators are often rather small, large enough for one person and no turning around. There are apartments here that have elevators, or on the ground floor. Maybe calling them would be quicker! I had a good experience corresponding via emails when we used this company.

vacationinparis.com. I just rented from them week before last. Although I rented for a week, they rent for less than a week. I give two thumbs way up to the agency and I like the low deposits...I only paid $300. to hold the apartment and then paid the balance two months before arrival date.
I had apt#122 for $1502.00...for 7 nights...of which $150. of that was the key deposit which is refunded when the key is returned to them. They e-mailed me to say that they had received the key back and when to expect a check for the $150. as I paid for the apartment by personal check.
I like paying in dollars and not having to worry about the dollar fluctuation. Happy Travels!
