I've got three nights booked in Nazare, two in Coimbra and three in Porto in May. How does that seem? I've rented a gorgeous place in Porto and am wondering if I can steal a day from Coimbra to extend my stay there. If I arrive in the morning from Nazare, will a single night in Coimbra be long enough to see the sites?
I'll be using public transport, so I won't have the freedom to do too much exploring beyond the town's borders.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Do I need two nights in Coimbra?

I would be more inclined to take a day from Nazare. Besides Coimbra itself, there are good Roman remains nearby at Conimbriga.
I have to agree with thursdaysd. Coimbra is much more interesting, unless your into surfing giant waves off the coast of Nazare.
